Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Oversee the recruitment, hiring, administration, initial training, and ongoing support for the department’s 900 student employees and assist with the student development program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.
Two (2) years of experience working in a collegiate/community recreation environment or in a human resources position with responsibility for training and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Master’s degree.
American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Instructor Certification.
Experience conducting workplace safety and/or customer service training.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience, the range is $52,000-$58,000.
Benefits: 22 days annual leave, 15 days sick leave, 12 paid holidays, 3 days personal leave, university contributions to health insurance and retirement plans, tuition remission.

Physical Demands

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances, and/or drive a vehicle.
