Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Assistant Director for Member Services manages membership marketing, sales, and member services and provides support to the Associate Director for Business.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Master’s degree. A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of full-time work experience may be substituted for the master’s degree.
-Four (4) years of experience working in a customer service environment.
-Experience managing a point-of-sale system, handling cash and non-cash transactions.
-At least two (2) years experience supervising and training others.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work in a diverse environment.


-Experience with college student personnel.
-Experience with CSI or similar point of sale systems.
-Some marketing or sales experience.

This position manages University Recreation & Wellness member services operation and student staff and provides support for the Associate Director for Business. It has responsibility for student staff training and supervision (35%), point of sale system management (20%), customer service (15%), and support for the Business unit (25%).
