Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Manage a molecular virology laboratory; provide technical assistance to Graduate Students and Scientists in the laboratory. Assist faculty members in experiments. Conduct studies under the supervision of Faculty members. Responsible for day to day activities in the laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field required.
Familiarity with molecular biology & virology techniques.
Laboratory experience. Knowledge of animals and animal facilities. Ability to order and negotiate reasonable prices for lab supplies from vendors.

Physical Demands

Help and/or carry out euthanasia, monitor autopsy facility, proper disposal of bodies and tissues, proper traffic flow through facility, proper clean-up and disinfection, etc. Ability to lift at least 10 lbs.
