Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Marketing and Training Coordinator under the direction of the Program Director, implements various initiatives for the Maryland Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), ranging from web site content updates, distribution of media placements, acting as liaison between SBDC regional training coordinators, creating and maintaining PTAP training program and a wide array of other duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.

Experience:
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of marketing experience and working familiarity with small business programs.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; organizational management skills and knowledge; excellent organization skills.

Preferences:

Experience in strategic planning.

Physical Demands

Requires statewide travel and some standing at outreach events.

Sedentary work performed in a normal office environment. Spending long hours in front of a computer screen. Must be able to attend meetings on and off campus. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, lift/move (up to 20 pounds), point, talk, and hear. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
