Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The purpose of this position is to provide first tier computer hardware and software support to staff in multi-platform environment including Windows and Apple. Duties include:
-working independently to diagnose and resolve end user helpdesk tickets and problems
-imaging and deploying desktop and laptop computers to staff
-hardware troubleshooting and upgrade including OS, driver, application install
-administering video conferencing and conference room equipment
-supporting and troubleshooting of printers, peripherals and mobile handheld devices including account setup and user training
-providing telephone/remote support to members accessing services through VDI and Telecommuting

Minimum Qualifications:

-Experience working in a PC support help desk environment
-Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems in a client server network environment.
-Experience with workstation imaging
-Experience configuring and supporting MS Office 2007 or later in a networked environment (Work, Excel, Access)
-Create/delete user accounts in Active Directory and MS Exchange.
The successful candidate will also:
Have a solid foundation in computing and networking in general, especially Windows environments
Have knowledge of malware & virus troubleshooting
Have strong skills configuring and troubleshooting Outlook 2010-2013-2016 in a networked environment
Have basic troubleshooting skills on Apple operating systems
Have good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide excellent customer service.
Must be enrolled in a UMCP graduate program.
