Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Provide leadership and support for University Recreation & Wellness programs, specifically Fitness & Wellness, Intramural Sports, and Club Sports and the Communications & Marketing function. Serve on the department leadership team and provide direct oversight of assigned initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Recreation, Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field.
Eight (8) years of progressive full-time professional experience developing and administering collegiate or community recreation programs.
Knowledge of recreation program/event management, student development, risk management, and program assessment.
Demonstrated supervisory experience.
Demonstrated leadership and budgeting skills.
Excellent writing skills.
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Preferences:

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
Some knowledge or experience with communications and marketing.
Member of the Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals (RCRSP).

Salary is commensurate with education and experience; the range is $100,000-$112,500.
Benefits: 22 days annual leave, 12 paid holidays, 3 days personal leave, 15 days sick leave, university contributions to health insurance and retirement plans, tuition remission.
