Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

This position will perform as Government Project Lead for the UMD UAS Test Site, directly reporting to the Director of Operations, and will be supporting the continuity from business development up to and through project execution and close-out. This position will be responsible for the administrative management of all government projects that come to the UMD UAS Test Site. The position will have oversight over technical issues, but from a project management role.
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN SOUTHERN MARYLAND

Minimum Qualifications:

1) United States Citizen
2) Five years of Navy project management experience (other DOD or federal government experience may satisfy this requirement based on the work completed)
3) Bachelor’s degree in a technical field

KSAs
4) Demonstrated good project management, presentation, and communication skills
5) Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project planning application software (Project, etc.)

Preferences:

1) PMP or Level III DAWIA certification
2) Commercial project management experience
3) Research project management experience

Physical Demands

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items, to travel short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. Must have the ability to participate in trade shows, manning booths and traversing the show floor. Occasional project update meetings will be held at outdoor demonstration sites with short distances over uneven ground, or on vessels.
