Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Position:

This position will be required to provide in-person helpdesk computer / server
troubleshooting support to include investigating software related failures in
addition to faulty computer components and peripherals (disk drives,
motherboards, mice, printers, keyboards, etc.). This position will also be
required to provide in-person remote site coverage for other supported
locations which will include all duties as outlined above for said location in the
event that the individual responsible for that location is on leave or out of the
office. Further, while on-site at primary location this position may be required to
provide desktop telephone support to other off-site staff to include providing
remote computer support / diagnosis remotely using provided remote diagnosis
tools. Finally, this position may also be required to provide other duties as
assigned by management from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field with one year of experience in the operation of multi-user computers and peripheral equipment

Preferences:

- Conceptual understanding of computer operating systems
- Ability to monitor the environmental conditions of computer server equipment
in server room facilities
- Ability to operate peripheral equipment such as printers and media
- Willingness to work off-shift hours and travel if necessary

Physical Demands

Long periods of time sitting and working on a computer with occasional lifting of computer equipment not to exceed 50 lbs. Must also be able to attend Monthly Admin Meeting located in College Park.
