Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The A. James Clark School of Engineering is looking for a dynamic, creative individual who will conceptualize, produce, and implement multimedia and visual communications to help capture the Clark School’s academic excellence. Responsibilities include videography and photography, expertise with social and online media, and management of creative assets.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in video production, photography, visual or fine arts, or a related field.

3+ years direct experience with multimedia production to include operating a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
● Skill in video and photo editing.
● Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud.
● Ability to effectively tell a story visually.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to listen, respond to, and relate to colleagues and clients.
● Teamworking skills and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise to achieve common goals.
● Project management skills.
● Attention to detail.


● Experience working on animation and motion graphics.
● Experience with database design and management.
● Skill in audio design, recording, and editing.
● Knowledge of interactive media and interface design best practices.
● A commitment to understanding and using new technology.

Physical Demands

• Able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Able to operate multimedia equipment including a
as well as a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) and video camera.
• Capable of exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. A cart will be provided for moving materials and supplies.
• Substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers from computer entry work.
• Good visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
• Must be able to maneuver around the campus to attend meetings and pick up time-sensitive or valuable items from other departments.
• Able to communicate with faculty, staff and students who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
