Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Position assists in creating and maintaining the academic course schedule for the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Coordinates scheduling of courses at all degree levels for programs in College Park, Shady Grove, Baltimore, D.C. and international locations. Requires working closely with the Office of the Registrar, as well as Business School department chairs and program offices to ensure that changes are processed in a timely manner. Adheres to campus deadlines and ensures schedule is accurately reflected in all University systems, to include SIS, UMEG, Canvas, and Testudo, as well as Business School course tracking and room scheduling systems. Compiles data related to space use, instructor workloads, and course evaluation results. Enters room reservations to internal scheduling system including courses, exams, and non-course meetings and events.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required plus three to five years of relevant experience in managing a complex program schedule, project planning and working in a time-intense work environment.

Experience working with course scheduling, event scheduling, and/or project planning.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Demonstrated proficiency with standard office and business software applications
-Excellent organizational time management and interpersonal skills.
-Extreme attention to detail and problem solving skills.
-Must possess a high level of professionalism and high customer orientation and interpersonal sensitivity.

Preferences:

Master’s Degree
Familiarity with an educational environment preferred.

Ideal candidate will have experience with the University’s Student Information System.

Familiarity with University of Maryland scheduling systems
