Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Program Manager of Donor Relations and Stewardship will serve an important role in the Division of University Relations and the Office of Donor Relations and Stewardship. The Program Manager will be a key contributor on gift administration, stewardship, reporting, compliance and communications projects. S/he will have a critical role in ensuring that new funds are properly established, administered and compliant with donor intent. The Program Manager will also be a leader, facilitator and liaison to scholarship administrators and stewardship professionals on campus. S/he will successfully navigate and connect a complex development landscape with an expansive scholarship administration operation at the University of Maryland and its colleges/schools/units.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education (include licenses, certifications, etc.):
Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:
Three years of administrative experience, preferably in development or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with staff, donors, students and others in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to analyze detail and meet deadlines.

Preferences:

• Familiarity with the financial aid awarding process.
• General accounting knowledge.
• Experience with ADVANCE or similar donor database.
