Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

This is a position for a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Audiology/Hearing Science.

Minimum Qualifications:

Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Au.D./Ph.D.) in audiology, hearing science, or related area.

Preferences:

Expertise in pediatrics, amplification, or aural rehabilitation is preferred, but other areas of expertise will be considered.

Additional Certifications:

CCC-A or ABA Certification is strongly preferred.

Additional Information:

The department offers B.A., M.A., Au.D., and Ph.D. degrees and is one the largest Hearing and Speech programs in the mid-Atlantic region (web page: http://www.hesp.umd.edu). It enjoys campus-wide research ties with the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science (NACS) Program, the Maryland Language Science Center, the University of Maryland Autism Research Consortium, and the Maryland Neuro-imaging Center. The College Park campus is located in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area in close proximity to numerous world-renowned medical institutions and research facilities including the NIH, the Walter Reed National Naval Military Medical Center, the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland Medical Center.
