Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Media Production Unit at the Office of Smith IT, Smith School of
Business creates media products for academic units, including Faculty, research projects, and promotional material for internal marketing. We are looking for an employee who can assist the team with a variety of projects and tasks that are essential to the success of the unit.

Assistant Coordinator – Media Production
- Assist in studio set up, recording of video and audio, screen captures,etc.
-Set up, operate, maintain,and troubleshoot a variety of equipment including laptops, video cameras, video projection, video conferencing, digital audio recording.
-Support the team in developing various media projects for customers, including pre and post-production
-Assist in marketing, website, documentation, content management
-Assist in studio management, scheduling, client correspondence, and project
management
-Assist in media management and distribution
-Assist team in creating internal productions as part of the IT Insights team
-Project editing using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
-Other administrative tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1-2 years relevant education and/or experience
Skills Required:
-Proficient computer skills (MS Office Programs, Google Docs)
-Strong creative, communication, and problem-solving skills
-Energy, enthusiasm and ambition
-Willingness to research, learn, evaluate, and implement new creative technologies and
ideas
-Good interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy required to interact effectively with a broad audience.
-Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team
environment.

Preferences:

-Basic knowledge of how to operate A/V equipment (video cameras, audio, lighting, etc.)
-Familiarity with higher education environment.
-Adobe Cloud Suite proficiency (Premiere, AfterEffects, InDesign, Photoshop)

Interviews for this position will begin immediately. This is a part-time position. Incumbent will be paid an hourly rate and work between 15 to 20 hours per week.

Physical Demands

Traditional office environment. Must be able to crouch, stand, and move computer equipment as needed. Must be able to operate computer and a/v equipment.
