Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Graduate Assistant will serve as a liaison to members of the surrounding community and will seek to partner with educational institutions and community organizations to promote the mission and services of the LIFT program. The Graduate Assistant is responsible for marketing LIFT program offerings such as the SAT/ACT Prep classes, tutorial service, college tours and summer residential academic programming.

Minimum Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited 4-year institution. Acceptance or good standing in a graduate program at the University of Maryland at the time of appointment is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to market an academic program. Experience with budget reporting and management. Experience with the sensitivity to high school students of culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds.
