Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Research Analyst is responsible for supporting the data reporting needs of the Office of Enrollment Management, including data related to Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid. This person will research, collect data, analyze, forecast, and communicate findings to colleagues within the University.

-Using predictive modeling methods, this person will find patterns in historical and transactional data to identify risks and opportunities and well as to best predict the probability of any one outcome related to student borrowing, funding of scholarships and working on campus. The models will capture relationships among many financial aid factors to allow assessment of risk or potential and then to develop policies so students needs are met or so that students can be counseled individually.
-Responsible for running reports on spending of campus based funds, scholarships, institutional awards, and federal work study. Responsible for the undergraduate and graduate application reporting information. Responsible for reporting information on athletic aid.
-Responsible for forecasting and accounting of both merit and need-based aid. Responsible for reviewing the packaging algorithms to see if inputs reached expected outputs.
-Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of experience with data analysis required.


Master’s degree preferred.

Experience in a four-year public research University with preference given to financial aid or undergraduate admissions experience. Knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, SharePoint, databases, and business intelligence solutions are preferred.
