Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

• Performing all IT technical support and maintenance for AAP, including all AAP offices, classrooms, and computer labs;
• Performing modifications and improvements to the department’s records management software programming;
• IT Troubleshooting and computer hardware repair;
• Software installation;
• Participating in internal upgrade and maintenance projects;
• Performing Visual Basics/Visual Studio programming modifications and improvements to the department’s records management software (VB platform);
• Upgrading and maintaining the departmental website.
• Additional duties may include general office work and data entry as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field. To perform this job successfully an individual is required to know Visual Basic and possess knowledge and experience in HTML, SQL, WIN200/XP, Dreamweaver and the Microsoft Office suite. This position requires high attention to detail, solid oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, technical support skills, and a willingness to work within deadlines.

Preferences:

Enrollment in a doctoral degree program, preferably in Computer Science, engineering, information systems or related field

Web page design and management skills a plus.
