Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The QUEST Honors Program is a multidisciplinary, cohort-based honors program consisting of 270 undergraduates from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, the A. James Clark School of Engineering, and the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences.

The Program Manager will work closely with the QUEST Executive Director, program staff, faculty, students, alumni, and corporate partners to manage QUEST’s relationships with corporate partners and engage the QUEST alumni community. The position will manage corporate and alumni relations and activities and design and deliver relevant QUEST course curriculum. The position will manage corporate and alumni relations for sponsorship of program activities. QUEST relies on corporate partners and alumni to participate in QUEST courses and relevant events to provide valuable learning opportunities for QUEST students. The position will develop, implement, and assess strategy for engaging QUEST alumni and corporate partners, including individual and corporate giving to the program. Communicate with corporate partners (project sponsors) and alumni who participate in QUEST’s capstone course, QUEST Consulting and Innovation Practicum and manage project pipeline for QUEST’s introductory course and capstone course. Mentor QUEST students in their career and academic development. Manage and execute QUEST’s alumni relations strategy and serve as liaison to the QUEST alumni board.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years professional work experience required.
Experience working with high achieving students is also required.

-Strong interpersonal, teamwork, customer service, communication and stress tolerance skills
-Ability to build rapport with a variety of individuals at all levels inside and outside of the University (e.g., Faculty, Students, Staff, Top Management, Campus/Corporate Officials, Alumni, Vendors, etc.)
-Ability to handle challenging situations
-A self-starter with a strong learning orientation and flexibility
-Must be ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
-Ability to focus on tasks in an environment that is surrounded by ongoing activity.

Preferences:

Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Science discipline preferred.
