Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Office of the President is searching for a half-time graduate assistant (10 hours/week) for the 2017-2018 academic year to support the activities of the Faculty and Staff Ombuds Offices and the President’s Commission on Women’s Issues (PCWI). The responsibilities include: providing administrative support to these units such as handling inquiries, webpage maintenance and event planning; and supporting PCWI by scheduling and arranging its meetings, administering its awards, and working on its special projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrollment as a full-time student in a University of Maryland, College Park graduate school program is required. Additional skills required include a keen attention to detail, the ability to keep deadlines and prioritize work; good written, oral, analytic skills, the ability to work in a professional setting while exercising discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
