Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

This is a 12-month administrative assistantship (20 hrs/wk).
This position provides support for the projects and programs of the Artist Partner Program, aiding in administrative season planning
for performances, festivals, and artist residencies at The Clarice and in the greater community. The Graduate Assistant for the Artist
Partner Program is supervised by the Artistic Administrator. Specific duties include the following:
• Assist the Artistic Administrator in the contract process for artist performances, commissions, residencies, engagements,
and other initiatives of the Artist Partner Program and The Clarice.
• Facilitate the scheduling of artist residencies and performances.
• Assist in the advancement of future season planning.
• Support the administrative needs of the National Orchestral Institute and Festival (NOI).
• Support Artist Services hospitality needs for visiting artists and festivals such as NextNOW Fest, National Orchestral
Institute and Maryland Day
• Document Artist Partner Program activities, both historically and for current seasons.
• Provide support for APP budget planning and tracking.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be enrolled in a degree program as a full time graduate student at the University of Maryland

Preferences:

• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with an emphasis on accuracy of detail, required.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow complex written and oral instructions, even during busy times.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Graduation date of May 2019 or later is preferred

Physical Demands

This job may require evening and weekend work. Schedule to be determined in coordination with Artistic Administrator.
