Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Office of Advanced Engineering Education (OAEE) in the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park invites applications for Lecturers in various academic disciplines listed below.

Additive Manufacturing
Electrical and Computer Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Communications and Signal Processing
Mechanical Engineering
• General Mechanical
• Energy and the Environment
Software Engineering
Sustainable Energy Engineering
Systems Engineering

These applications will be used to establish a pool of qualified instructors that would like to develop and/orteach courses for OAEE. The master and certificate degrees offered through OAEE encompass all of our practice-oriented graduate education programs, short courses, workshops, license reviews, etc. Our programs provide working engineers and technical professionals with the opportunity to continue their education at one of the best engineering graduate schools in the nation. The programs of study offered are primarily designed to lead to the Master of Engineering and/or the Graduate Certificate in Engineering degrees (full list of degree programs and corresponding curricula can be found here:

Successful candidates must be outstanding practitioners and educators who have a strong commitment to graduate education in Engineering. Courses are taught in on-campus, online, and remote site formats and generally take place between 4:00-10:00pm. In addition to teaching, applicants may also be employed to participate in developing new courses or updating existing courses as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate in an Engineering or STEM-related discipline or a Master of Science in an Engineering or STEM-related discipline with at least 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
