Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The University’s Center for Advanced Transportation Technology (CATT) Lab is searching for a talented web developer who can provide technical expertise in all aspects of the software development life-cycle. The developer will contribute to the architecture and implementation of new software products, and implementation of new features within and maintenance of existing applications. Other responsibilities include providing guidance and support to student developers, providing regular development status updates, and software testing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Significant experience with one or more of the following:
o HTML, JavaScript, CSS and related frameworks
o Actionscript 3 and Flex
o Python (Experience with Django framework is a plus)
o PHP (Experience with Symfony framework is a plus)
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to work closely with a team using web development best practices (e.g., issue tracking, code reviews, unit testing)

Preferences:

Experience with Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum.
